The jurists selected silver as a standard to measure nisab e zakat to maximize the benefit of the poor keeping in the Doctrine Of Caution. It was a time when the price of silver was comparatively beneficial for Poor segments of society. But now a huge change has occurred in its price. So the question is should we follow the same old Doctrine Of Caution or is there any need to rethink it to renew it? Therefore, this paper describes the Jurisprudential Renewal In this Doctrine. After a long discussion, it determines the nisab e zakha of tradable commodities with fourteen goat’s price instead of silver.
